This work was created during an artist residency at the footnotecentre in Belgrade, Serbia.

It is painful to constantly feel like an outsider. In an attempt to feel comfortable, the performer disguises himself with a fur coat and a fur cap. He desperately wants to fit in.

In front of the brutalist architecture, the performer finds “fragments” where he strikes a tense, unusual pose. He asks strangers passing by if they can take his picture with a simple point-and-shoot camera. A text accompanies each image and describes how these unknown photographers remained in his memory.
