A laser beam is reflected across a room by mirror fragments. The beam is interrupted by a metronome at regular intervals. The sound of the metronome is complemented by its effect on the laser beam throughout the room. The installation is made visible solely by the fog, resulting in a constantly changing image. The title “To laugh in the face of danger” refers to the transformation of misfortune, such as a broken mirror, into a sensual outcome.
